6 weeks already!

I am sorry to report that I have been a bad mommy and have not update this in 3 weeks (terrible I know). Cale is already 6 weeks old...I can't believe how fast time flies! Cale and JoJo both enjoyed a fun Halloween, as did their daddy's who got lots of candy! Cale was a tiny titan and Jonah turned out to be some kind of cow/horse hybrid! The boys first house to trick-or-treat was just a short walk upstairs to see Mrs Chumley, then we hit the big houses with Nana on Belmont. Cale also had to go back to the doctor. He had been spitting up everywhere, and they were concerned it could be a muscle issues. Luckily after a Vandy ultrasound (which he did NOT enjoy) they decided it is just reflux. He medicine seems to be helping, so hopefully everything is under control. 2 weekends ago we all traveled to Cookville to celebrate my great grandmother (and Cale's great great grandmother's birthday). He is a 5th generation, and her second great great grandson. As always mommy has had the camera out! I got some GREAT pictures of Cale and Kyle, click here to see them all! Cale has gone with me on all my photo shoots since I've been back working. He seems to enjoy being the assistant and not having mommy's camera in his face. Since this was my last week was my last time at home with Cale we tried to make sure everyone got to see him. He got to eat lunch with my old boss Chris and with two of my friends Megan and Kyle. The baby has been loved on by so many people! Cale entered his first (and probably only) baby beauty pageant! He cleaned up! He won prettiest hair, most beautiful, most photogenic, and Prince! Needless to say, Mommy was very proud! Yesterday was my first day back at work, and it was much harder than I anticipated. Luckily Dani is great and was sure to send me pictures and updates. After a good hour cry I pulled it together and made it through today. He is with his Grandma AJ today, so I am handling it a little better. He is fighting a cold (just like the rest of the family) so he did NOT sleep last night. Maybe he will sleep for Grandma today since she has her hands full with 2 boys!

3 weeks old!!

Cale is 3 weeks old! He is starting to be much more alert and is staying awake a few more hours during the day. Luckily for mommy and daddy he is still sleeping pretty well at night, with a few exceptions! He made his first visit to Granny White last Sunday! Don Hudson announced him when we brought him in, so he got lots of attention from everyone. I also did his fall pictures this week as well as some early Xmas pictures. They are up on my site, to see all of them you can click here! We are having a hayride tomorrow and Jonah is excited to ride on the wagon! I doubt Cale will be awake for any of it, but it is a good excuse to dress him in his halloween outfit! Gdaddy's 50th birthday party was a BIG success! Cale got to sit in Aunt Ruth's lap all through dinner! Last night Cale had his first "girls night". All of his aunties took him to PF Changs! He was a lucky little boy to get loved on by so many girls! Cale also got to meet his Uncle Kyle this week who came back from Colorado! It was great to get to see him, even if it was just for a few hours. I can't believe how fast the first 3 weeks have gone! Hopefully next week will go just a little slower!!

2 weeks old!

I can't believe Cale is already 2 weeks old, it makes me so sad! He had his first visit to the pediatrician on Thursday. He has gained 7oz and 2in, Dr. Leaper said he looks just perfect! I was so glad to hear that he is healthy! We got our photos back from my friend Sarah! They turned out really well! If you want to see them click here, the username is Cochrane and the password is Cale. I also did several new pictures of Cale! He is so patient with his mommy and her love for photography! I'm sure he will hate me when he turns 16 and starts dating! Both sets of his photos are on my flickr website! We had a big day today, we got to eat lunch with Aunt Kelly and Nana! It's so nice to be able to get out of the house. Cale also got to go to Lipscomb for a visit, he was so excited he slept through the whole thing! His umbilical cord fell off today as well, which means he can have big boy baths now! Hopefully he will enjoy those more than he does sponge baths! Tomorrow is his G-Daddy's 50th birthday so we will be celebrating tomorrow night, everyone is very excited except for Gdaddy! Perhaps his boys will be able to cheer him up!

Busy Weekend...

Cale had a very busy weekend! He finally got to meet his great g-daddy and his fiancĂ©e' Stephanie! We went home Saturday night, and Cale finally slept in his bed at home. He is being such a great baby, and sleeping well at night despite being asleep all day. On Sunday we went to see Nanna and Poppa Mike before heading to Murf to have his newborn pictures made. He was a perfect angel and every photographers dream! I was so proud. For once he decided to stay awake, so I am hoping we got some photos with his eyes open! We headed back to Clarksville last night to watch a very disappointing Titans game. The only good part about it was seeing how cute Cale looked in his little uniform. We take him to the doctor on Thursday, hopefully we can do something to help his reflux. It has turned from just spit up to some throw up, so he has his mommy very worried! I will pass on an update as soon as we hear from his doctor!

Just home from the hospital

Cale is finally here!

Cale is finally here! We checked into Baptist Hospital Thursday morning Oct 1 at about 6am. After 10 hours of labor, Kyle and I were blessed with the most beautiful baby boy in the world. Cale James Cochrane was born at 5:22pm. He weighed 7lbs 3.25oz and was 18.5in long with a full head of jet black hair. Although the delivery process was a comedy of errors Cale is perfectly healthy and well perfect! He was a lucky little boy to have so many visitors. One of the nurses told me she had never seen so many visitors for one baby before. We were discharged Saturday morning, but I was readmitted on Sunday. Unfortunately I have been very sick off and on since Sunday, so we have been staying in Clarksville. Hopefully all of that is behind me now. Cale is the best baby anyone could ask for. He never fusses, and sleeps all the time. I can't believe that he is already a week old. It makes me so sad. Below are pictures from his first week of life.

48hours to go....

Less than 48hours to go and Cale will be here. It's scary to think about, but exciting as well. We have been so busy that I don't think we have had time to get nervous yet. I went to Baptist yesterday fully convinced I was in labor. My doctor wasn't in the office but the woman I did see was great. Apparently Cale is very ready to come see everyone, but he hasn't quite figured out how to do that yet. They diagnosed me with back labor and said that despite the pain, it really wasn't doing much good. Just what I love, unproductive pain. She gave me pain killers and sent me home to put heat on my back. It has still been bad today, but luckily the pain killers seem to be helping. Kyle and I are going to try and get all of our last minute errands, packing, and chores done tonight and tomorrow night. We are both getting very excited about our "last supper".. yummy! I got to see an ultrasound of Cohen today! I can't believe we were ever there with Cale, it seems like so long ago. We are truly blessed to have baby boys popping up all around us. Hopefully the next time I post here it will be with exciting news about a new little one. Please pray for us on Thursday and in the weeks to come.

Single Digits...

It's almost time for Cale! We have 9 days to go, I can't believe we are finally in single digits. Kyle and I have been working like crazy to get everything ready for him. I think I have hit the nesting phase! Kyle caught me vacuuming the shower last night. They are going to start my petocin next Thursday at 6:30am at Baptist. Hopefully I will be able to have a speedy labor like Amanda and my mom did. Kyle and I are going to celebrate our last weekend out and go on a date Saturday. We are also going to celebrate next Wednesday with our "last supper" since I won't be able to eat again for awhile. We are so excited for him to arrive!! Now all we have to do is finish the apartment and round 2 of thank you notes.

Cale will be here soon!

For those of you who haven't heard, Cale will be here sooner than we thought! If everything goes according to plan (which who knows with pregnancy) Cale will be here Oct 1! I can't wait! That's a little less than 5 weeks, and I am more than ready. The harder it gets to sleep the longer the countdown seems. I start my weekly rounds of doctor's appointments next week. It makes it seem much more real that he will be here soon. We have our last baby shower next Sunday at Granny White and we are very excited...now if we can just catch up on thank you notes! Kyle will be in Knoxville and I will be in KY this weekend, so hopefully Cale won't decide to make an early appearance like his daddy did. Only 33 more days to go....

3d Ultrasound

We had Cale's ultrasound last night! He looks great, he is just trying to escape. In every photo his feet are in my ribs trying to push off! He is definitely making himself known! We did get to see some images of his face, but it's kind of like looking at a magic image book at first. Once you see the face it's pretty easy to find! He is a thumb sucker so there is some black spots covering part of his face where his little hand was in the way! I think he looks like Kyle, but unfortunately for him he has my chubby cheeks. We go back to the doctor next week, so maybe we will know his weight then! Here

are a few photos for the ultrasound....

Countdown To Cale...

Only 55 more days to go and Cale will finally be here! We are all anxious and ready to see him for the first time! I have a 4d Ultrasound today and hopefully we will be able to get a peak of his face! I think he looks like Kyle from the last 3d ultrasound, but today will give us an even better idea! Susan Bryant took some maternity photos for us last weekend and they turned out great! I’ve posted a few, but you can view the entire gallery here. We have our hospital bags packed, and are working to get everything finished in the apartment! Setting up our new TV is Kyle’s main focus at the moment, but there is a co-sleeper to be assembled with his name on it! Our baby shower has been moved to September 6th because of life groups,
but that is probablly a good thing! Now we will
have extra time to write thank you notes and put everything in its place! I will post photos of Cale’s ultrasound tomorrow!
